Seven tools for turning the page each day

  • Build a collection

    Name someone you love, a pet, or a place, then add photos from your device’s photo library, choosing several at once. The more you add, the longer before the same photo comes round again. Three collections on the free plan, as many as you like with Pro.

  • Today’s photo

    Open the app and today’s photo fills the screen. It stays the same for the whole day, so the widget and the app always show the same photo. The collection name and date sit above it, and how long ago it was taken below — “3 years ago today,” “5 months ago.” Tap to see it full screen, and leave a note on any day you want to remember.

  • Photo frames

    Choose how the photo is presented: None, White border, Square, Album, or Instant. The free plan uses “None”; Pro opens all five.

  • Calendar

    Each day’s photo sits in its square on a month calendar. Tap one to see it large. The current month and the three months before it on the free plan, every month with Pro.

  • Hide for now

    Set a photo aside for a month when it doesn’t match how you feel. The photo is never deleted — bring it back with “Undo” right after, or with one tap in the Edit collection screen.

  • Home Screen widget

    Small fills with the photo and a date badge; medium sets the photo beside this month’s calendar — or your note, if you prefer, in Settings. Tap to open the app on Home. Update timing can shift a little — that’s how iOS widgets work.

  • A month in one image

    The share button on Calendar renders that month’s calendar as a tall card image. Send it as it is, or save it to your Photos app from the iOS share sheet.

Adding as many photos and as many collections as you like, looking back at every month you have kept, and choosing any of the five photo frames are available with OmoiMekuri Pro. The free plan gives you 20 photos in total across every collection, 3 collections, the calendar back to three months before this one (four months in all), and one photo frame. Your photos stay on your device

Your photos, collection name, capture dates, and photo identifiers are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere. Photos are never copied into the app — only the photo library’s identifier is stored and read again each time (the one or two photos the widget needs are written to the app’s own on-device storage as downscaled copies). We run anonymous usage measurement to improve the app, but what it records is things like the type of action taken, counts such as how many photos or characters, and which preset option was chosen — never your photos, the text of your notes, or your collection name.
